Mahesh Studio

Mumbai, Maharashtra
2012

Programmatically the photographer's studio needed to incorporate a large studio space, a private office, work-stations, make-up room, pantry with ample storage space and 3 toilet facilities. It was a challenging program to integrate in a relatively tight space.

The unique characteristic of the space was its height which was about 12 feet. This tall height was maximized by creating a mezzanine floor for the office cabins with the pantry and make-up room tucked in below.

The materials used are a combination of grey bison board and natural Burma teak wood which give the space a minimalistic feel.
